Scribe joins ‘Tapped Out’

Markowitz to rewrite martial arts comedy

Chockstone Pictures (“The Road”) is revving up development on martial arts comedy “Tapped Out,” naming scribe Michael Markowitz of “Horrible Bosses” to rewrite.

Steve Schwartz, Paula Mae Schwartz, Roger Schwartz and Nathan Reimann will produce.

Chockstone bought “Tapped Out” in April from scribes James Sommers and Grace Church. Laffer revolves around an unemployed, man whose life is turned upside down when he accidentally and knocks out an Ultimate Fighting champion.

Chockstone recently acquired the film rights to “Spiral” and to non-fiction book, “The Last of the Tribe: The Epic Quest to Save a Lone Man in the Amazon.”
