‘Rush’ wins Tribeca Fest Audience Award

Filmmakers McFadyen, Dunn take home $25,000 prize

Docu “Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage” picked up the audience award at the Tribeca Film Fest.

Pic’s helmers, Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn, won a $25,000 cash prize.

Doc, about the Canuck band Rush, a trio consisting of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart, world-preemed at the fest.

Kudo was announced during the fest’s wrap party Saturday night.

Last year’s Tribeca audience winner, Raymond De Felitta’s “City Island,” has been steadily building a specialty aud since its release March 19 through Anchor Bay, grossing more than $2 million.
