‘Rush’ takes Tribeca audience award

Helmers McFayden, Dunn nab $25,000 prize

Docu “Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage” picked up the audience award at the Tribeca Film Fest.

Pic’s helmers, Scot McFayden and Sam Dunn, will take home a $25,000 cash prize.

Doc about the Canuck rock band Rush – a trio consisting of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart – had its world preem at the fest.

Kudo was announced during the fest’s wrap party Saturday night, with the pic skedded to be screened twice more on Sunday, the final day of the festival.
