Pioneer nod for Paramount exec

Will Rogers Motion Picture org honor Moore

Paramount Pictures vice chair Rob Moore has been tapped to receive the Pioneer of the Year kudo from the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

The foundation, which made the announcement Monday, said it will produce a Pioneer of the Year tribute journal in lieu of a dinner for the second year in a row. The org requested that donors contribute by way of a tribute ad, with donations going to the Pioneers Assistance Fund for motion picture industry veterans. The tribute book will be published on Aug. 15.

Past honorees include Cecil B. DeMille, Jack Warner, Darryl F. Zanuck, Frank Mancuso, Jack Valenti, Terry Semel, Sumner Redstone and Sherry Lansing.

“This year, we are extremely grateful that Rob will accept a well-deserved honor and that he will lend his name to help raise funds for the Motion Picture Pioneers Assistance Fund,” said Fox distribution president Bruce Snyder, chairman of the foundation board.
