London’s Leicester Square played host Thursday to Warner Bros.’ world preem of “Going the Distance.”
The pic’s bicoastal, state-crossed lovers, Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, traversed the sky-blue carpet, greeting swarms of fans prior to the screening.
It was a double-debut evening, as helmer Nanette Burstein (“On the Ropes”), unveiled her first feature flight. The romantic comedy proved that love will forever reign supreme over the guilt of a heavy carbon footprint.
Barrymore explained her initial excitement for the project: “I’ve been in long-distance relationships my whole life, because of my job. I thought this was a very fresh subject. Modern technology and romance is a tricky thing. I’m still trying to figure it out.”
