Parisot picks Helms film

'Central Intelligence' is director's first movie since 2005

Dean Parisot has signed on to helm Universal’s comedy “Central Intelligence,” being developed as an Ed Helms starring vehicle.

Story kicks off after an accountant (Helms) reconnects with an old friend via Facebook; he’s soon plunged into the world of international espionage. Studio is looking to cast Helms’ long-lost friend.

Peter Principato and Paul Young are producing the pic, which was penned by Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen.

Universal’s Scott Bernstein will oversee the project for the studio.

Project would mark Parisot’s first film since 2005’s “Fun With Dick and Jane.” He is repped by CAA and attorney Patti Felker.
