Paramount nabs ‘Last Man Standing’

Studio making feature film of graphic novel

Paramount prexy of production Marc Evans has steered a deal for the studio to adapt graphic novel “Last Man Standing” for the bigscreen.

Graphic novel is from Kevin Eastman’s Heavy Metal Publishing.

Scott Aversano will produce, along with “Last Man Standing” artist and creator Daniel LuVisi.

“Last Man Standing” tells the story of Gabriel, a genetically engineered soldier who must protect the planet Amerika and its people.

Stefan Lokotch, Russell Binder, and Peter Levin will exec produce.

Novel also will be expanded into a comic book by Heavy Metal.
