Paramount buys fashion pitch

Studio sets up project at Offspring Entertainment

Paramount has its eye on world of fashion, snapping up an untitled pitch from Emily Meyer and Amy Andelson and setting it up with Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment.

Logline’s being kept under wraps other than that it revolves around a Cinderella-type character in the fashion world. Matt Smith of Offspring will exec produce.

“Hairspray” helmer Shankman and Gibgot are producing “Rock of Ages” for New Line with Shankman directing and choreographing. The duo’s also developing a dance drama at Warners, with Sandra Bullock attached to star and Anne Fletcher directing.

Meyer and Andelson penned “Step Up 3D.” They also sold the comedy pitch “What Boys Want” last year to New Line, which attached teen star Selena Gomez to topline and Kevin Misher to produce.

Writers are repped by WME and Principato Young.
