Festival Highlights

OPENING NIGHT FILM
“Five Star Days”: In an attempt to test the theory of astrology, one man’s journey to locate the other people who share his horoscope will unexpectedly change his life forever. Pic stars Cam Gigandet and Jena Malone and is directed by Danny Buday, who also wrote the script.

OPENING NIGHT GALA
Held at the Bloomingdale’s Courtyard in Fashion Island, the event features cuisine from 25 Newport Beach area restaurants, a fashion show and a special performance of “Mystere” by Cirque du Soleil.

CLOSING NIGHT FILM
“Letters to Juliet”: Directed by Gary Winick and penned by Oscar-nominated writer Jose Rivera, film stars Amanda Seyfried, Gael García Bernal and Vanessa Redgrave. Seyfried travels to Italy and, answering a letter from 1957, finds romance for both herself and the woman who originally wrote the letter.
