The Visual Effects Society will present helmer Christopher Nolan with its first Visionary Award.

Org said the kudo was created to honor those who consistently apply visual f/x to foster imagination in a unique manner.

Last year “The Dark Knight” picked up VES awards for models and miniatures, created environment and special effects in a motion picture.

“Batman Begins” was nominated in 2006 for created environment.
