Jennifer Lawrence is wracking up the frequent-flier miles the hard way — on the red eye.
When the 20-year-old originally auditioned for “Winter’s Bone,” “They said I didn’t have the right look,” she recalls. “so I flew to New York on a red eye with a ‘hire me or die’ look.”
Similarly, for Jodie Foster’s “The Beaver” with Mel Gibson, Lawrence was told, “Jodie had seen a couple of scenes of ‘Winter’s Bone’ and thought I was too dark.”
“So I had to fly on another red eye to prove I’m funny.”
How did she do that?
“I just showed up and made some jokes. Red eyes always seem to do the trick.”
