Armed with a new promo, Myriad Pictures closed a number of key territory deals for Kevin Spacey-Jeremy Irons-Zachary Quinto financial thriller “Margin Call” during the American Film Market.
“Margin Call,” in post, stars Stanley Tucci, Demi Moore, Paul Bettany, Penn Badgley, Simon Baker and Mary McDonnell.
Myriad prexy-CEO Kirk D’Amico debuted the project at the Cannes film market in May. At AFM, he showed footage for the first time to foreign buyers.
Film has sold in territories including Germany (Degato, Koch Media), China (DDDream), Canada (Alliance), Australia (Becker), Italy (RAI Cinema), Russia (CD Land), Scandinavia (Svensk), Mexico (Gussi), Brazil (Paris Filmes Co.), Argentina (Distribution Co.) and Latin America (Videx).
Written and helmed by J.C. Chandor in his feature directing debut, “Margin Call” follows decisions made by players at an investment bank in the 24 hours leading up to the devastating 2008 market crash.
Film is produced by Neal Dodson, Quinto and Corey Moosa through their company Before the Door Pictures. Benaroya Pictures’ Michael Benaroya and Robert Ogden Barnum also are producers, as is Joe Jenckes. Cassian Elwes, Laura Rister and D’Amico are exec producing.
