Movement for ‘Helena’

Film Movement picks up SXSW veteran

Film Movement has picked up 2010 SXSW alum “Helena From the Wedding” for a limited theatrical run to be followed by a video-on-demand release.

Writer-director Joseph Infantolino’s movie follows a married couple whose equilibrium is disrupted when an unexpected guest arrives at their New Year’s Eve party. Cast includes Gillian Jacobs (“Community”), Melanie Lynskey (“Up in the Air”) and Dominic Fumusa (“Nurse Jackie”).

Deal was negotiated by Adley Gartenstein and Rebeca Conget of Film Movement with Infantolino and Traction Media’s Maren Olson.

Limited theatrical run for “Helena” begins Nov. 12 in Gotham, with VOD following in December.
