Monterey Media has acquired U.S. disctribution rights to indie drama “Looking for Palladin” from Pine Hill Prods. and Tousi Prods.

Written and directed by Andrzej Krakowski, “Palladin” stars Ben Gazzara, David Moscow, Talia Shire, Pedro Armendariz Jr., Angelica Aragon and Vincent Pastore.

Story centers on an arrogant Hollywood talent agent, portrayed by Moscow, who’s sent to Guatemala to find a long-retired retired star played by Ben Gazzara — who was once married to the agent’s late mother. The retired star and his estranged stepson must confront the past they had forsaken.

“Palladin” won Best Feature Film and Best Director at Queens International Film Festival. It will continue in limited release following earlier openings in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and be released on DVD in the spring.
