Mischer named co-producer of Governors Awards

Don Mischer will join Sid Ganis in producing the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Governors Awards, set for Nov. 13.

The event showcases the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and the Honorary Award winners.

Mischer, who will serve as executive producer of the awards, is working on the upcoming Emmy Awards and has produced the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the 2004 Democratic National Convention and Super Bowl halftime shows.
