Michaela Watkins has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ comedy “Wanderlust,” toplining Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. Judd Apatow is producing.
David Wain (“Role Models”) is directing from a script he wrote with Ken Marino. Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman, Alan Alda and Ray Liotta also star.
Apatow produces through his Apatow Prods. banner with Wain, Marino and Rudd. Exec producer is Dick Vane.
Storyline revolves around a couple who leave behind the big city to join a free-wheeling community where the only rule is to be yourself. Watkins will play the neurotic, high-strung sister-in-law of Rudd’s character.
Watkins currently has a recurring role on the new HBO series “Enlightened,” and was recently in theaters in “The Back-up Plan.”
