‘Maurice Sendak’ to Oscilloscope

Co. nabs N. American rights to film

Adam Yauch’s Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to “Tell Them Anything You Want: A Portrait of Maurice Sendak,” directed by Lance Bangs and Spike Jonze. Docu preemed on HBO Oct. 14. DVD will go on sale March 2, the date of release for the DVD of Jonze’s bigscreen adaptation of Sendak’s “Where the Wild Things Are.”

“Maurice Sendak and the Beastie Boys are two major influences in my life, so it’s perfect be doing this documentary with Yauch,” said Jonze, who has directed musicvideos for Yauch’s band, the Beastie Boys.
