Anthony Mackie and Evangeline Lilly have signed on to co-star in DreamWorks’ “Real Steel.”

Mackie has been in demand since his star turn in “The Hurt Locker,” in which “Lost” star Lilly also appeared.

Shawn Levy will direct the sci-fi drama.

Story centers on a former boxer (Hugh Jackman) who teams up with his long-lost son to train a robot for a championship fight. Mackie will play a boxing promoter; Lilly will portray a friend of Jackman’s character.

Don Murphy, Susan Montford and Levy are producing. Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Steve Starkey, Mary McLaglen and Josh McLaglen are exec producing.
