(See full list of winners below)Taiwanese family drama “When Love Comes” won the best film award Saturday at Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards, the biggest Chinese-language kudofest. The low-budget pic about the lives of four women, by Taiwanese helmer Chang Tso-chi, beat out Hong Kong’s martial arts epic “Bodyguards and Assassins” and China’s “Judge” to clinch the top award at the 47th awards. The top helmer prize went to Taiwan’s Chung Mong-hong for “The Fourth Portrait,” about a child who uses paintings to express his inner world. Pic also drew Hao Lei the supporting actress nod. Taiwanese pop idol Ethan Juan took the actor trophy for his role in the gangster movie “Monga,” which will be Taiwan’s entry in the foreign-language film category at the Oscars. The top actress award went to China’s Lu Liping for her role as a tough working-class mother in “City Monkey.” The Teddy Chen-helmed “Bodyguards and Assassins” was nominated in nine categories and ended up winning for makeup and costume design. The Golden Horse awards take place in self-ruled Taiwan.
