Film chronicles the life of musician
Lorber Films has picked up U.S. rights to doc “Who is Harry Nilsson (and Why is Everybody Talkin’ About Him)?,” with the movie lined up for a September bow in Gotham ahead of a DVD release by the end of the year.
Helmed by John Scheinfeld, the film chronicles the life and career of musician Nilsson, highly regarded by critics and a fave of the Beatles. Interviewees include Randy Newman, Brian Wilson, and Yoko Ono, among others.
Pic bowed at the Santa Barbara Film Fest in 2006.
“Who is Harry Nilsson,” which preems at Gotham’s Cinema Village Sept. 10, joins a Lorber lineup that also including upcoming offerings “Army of Crime” and “Salt of this Sea.”
