The London Film Fest kicked off Oct. 13 with the European preem of Mark Romanek’s “Never Let Me Go” at Odeon Leicester Square.
At the Saatchi Gallery after-party, the stars had a good time letting go, with Andrew Garfield earning some good-natured flak from his co-stars, Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley, for a left-handed compliment.
“It’s one thing to be talented and attractive, but it’s a whole other thing to be a good person as well,” he said. “I think that’s very difficult to achieve … in a woman,” Garfield said.
When then asked if they’d like to work with Garfield again, Knightley joked: “No. There’s no way, just no way, after the woman comment.” And Mulligan jovially added, after Garfield laughed at her initial sincere response, “You devalue everything I say! I don’t want to work with you again!” – — Helen Jackson
