Kinberg inks first-look deal with Fox

Writer-producer penned 'Jumper,' 'X-Men' pics

Scribe/producer Simon Kinberg has inked a two-year, first-look deal with 20th Century Fox.

Kinberg has close ties to the studio. He penned “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Jumper” for Fox and New Regency, as well as writing “X-Men: The Last Stand” for Fox.

Deal with Kinberg’s shingle Genre Films is non-exclusve.

“We have a great history with Simon and he’s continuously delivered for us. These writer/producers deals are incredibly valuable,” Fox prexy of production Emma Watts.

“Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” “Jumper” and “Last Stand” generated more than $1.1 billion in worldwide box officer revenues.

Projects Kinberg has set up elsewhere include “Moon” at Paramount, “Osterman Weekend” at Summit Entertainment and “Invasion” at Universal.

Kinberg is repped by CAA.
