‘Kavi’ taks top prize at USC competish

Film school unveils First Look winners at DGA theater

USC’s School of Cinematic Arts unveiled the winners for its First Look competition on April 27 at the DGA theater with “Kavi” from helmer Gregg Helvey taking home the top prize.

The other pics to place on the panel included “Adam”, which was given silver and “Overnight Stay” which received bronze place. The audience kudos was given to “The Godmother” and was given a screening to close the night out.

The event is the first in a series of events to highlight achievements of selected students in the various media programs at USC.

The next event, First Pitch, will be held on May 3 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
