John Slattery (“Mad Men”) has joined the cast of Liza Johnson’s indie drama “Return” alongside Linda Cardellini and Michael Shannon.
Noah Harlan of 2.1 Films and Ben Howe are producing “Return.” Meredith Vieira and Amy Rapp of Meredith Vieira Prods. and Abigail Disney of Fork Films exec produce. Shooting begins this week in upstate New York.
Slattery will play a war vet who befriends Cardellini’s character, a mother and wife who has just returned home from a tour of duty. Also joining the project is Shannon’s “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Paul Sparks.
Slattery will be seen on the bigscreen in “Adjustment Bureau.” alongside Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. He’s received three Emmy nominations for his role on “Mad Men” and is directing episodes this season.
Talia Balsam of “Mad Men” has also joined the cast of “Return.”
