Actor joins Spacey, Moore in Wall Street thriller

Jeremy Irons is joining the cast of writer/director J.C. Chandor’s Wall Street thriller “Margin Call.”

He’ll star opposite Kevin Spacey, Demi Moore and Zachary Quinto.

The cast also includes Paul Bettany, Penn Badgley, Simon Baker, Stanley Tucci and Mary McDonnell.

Before the Door Pictures and Benaroya Pictures are producing, with Kirk D’Amico’s Myriad Pictures handling international sales. D’Amico also is exec producer.

“Margin Call,” now in its third week of principal photography in Gotham, tracks the key players at a prominent investment bank during a tumultuous 24-hour period during the early stages of the 2008 financial crisis.

Irons plays the chief executive of the firm.

Before the Door’s Neal Dodson, Corey Moosa and Quinto are producing with Benaroya’s Michael Benaroya and Robert Ogden Barnum, as well as with Joe Jenckes.

Santa Monica-based Myriad Pictures is a production, financing and worldwide sales company.
