Submissions due in Thursday, April 1

Thursday is the deadline for submissions for the 36th annual Humanitas Prize kudos.

The awards, which include a cash stipend, are bestowed on writers whose work sheds light on social issues and the human condition. The Humanitas org has awarded more than $2.8 million to scribes since the kudos were founded in 1974 by Father Ellwood Kieser.

Entry forms can be found at humanitasprize.org. The awards will be handed out at a luncheon ceremony in mid-September.
