Shannon Gaulding, a longtime production exec at Screen Gems and Sony, has joined Ryan Kavanaugh’s Relativity Media as a senior VP of production.
Gaulding spent the last three years at Screen Gems as a senior VP of production and oversaw such films as “Legion” and Relativity’s “Dear John.”
Prior to joining Screen Gems, Gaulding worked as an executive in charge of production at Sony on such films as “The Grude,” “Stranger Than Fiction,” “Monster House,” “30 Days of Night” and “Spider-Man III.” She also worked on the first two “Spider-Man” films and “SWAT,” “Zathura” and “Something’s Gotta Give.”
“Shannon’s extensive background as an executive, her creative taste and her ‘hands on’ production experience are a perfect combination for Relativity and exactly what we were looking for,” said Tucker Tooley, Relativity’s president of production.
Relativity has slate financing deals with Sony and Universal.
Before joining Columbia, Gaulding was a music exec.
