Veteran producer Jim Garavente has joined The Gotham Group as a manager in its lit division.
Garavente most recently was partnered with writer/director Zach Helm at Gang of Two, which had a first look deal at Mandate.
He was a producer on “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.” He also had credits on “Debate Project,” “Cryonics” and “Awdrey Gore” exec produced “The Chronicler,’ a one-hour pilot through WB TV and Fox. Garavente began his career at CAA, and has been a feature Literary Manager at Innovative Artists and Artists Management Group/The Firm.
Clients include Tim Sexton (“Children of Men”) and Helm (“Stranger Than Fiction,” “Mr. Magorium’s”). Gotham has a roster of over 500 directors, screenwriters, producers, authors, illustrators, and artists, as well as book and comic book publishers and animation studios. Publishing clients include Bloomsbury/Walker US, Dark Horse Entertainment, Penguin Group, Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins (U.S. & UK), Houghton Mifflin/Harcourt and SAF Comics.
