‘Game’ on for Summit

'Twilight' team to produce action-thriller

Summit is getting in the game with “Game Theory” and is in talks to acquire Michael Alan Lerner’s action-thriller spec script.

“Game Theory” will be produced by “Twilight” producers Temple Hill, Alex Goldstone and Adam Shulman. Story’s focused on a college professor and game theorist who gets sucked into a large-scale global incident.

Lerner and Ric Roman Waugh set up revenge thriller “Rubicon” last year with Charles Roven at Atlas Entertainment. He also penned the Brian Wilson biopic “Heroes and Villains.”

Erik Feig and Gillian Bohrer are overseeing the project for Summit, and Tracey Nyberg is shepherding at Temple Hill.

Lerner’s a former foreign correspondent for Newsweek and a freelance journalist who covered the war in Afghanistan and the fall of apartheid in South Africa.

Lerner is repped by ICM and Anonymous Content.
