Fox made the preemptive purchase late last week. Other than disclosing that “Fight” is a family-centered comedy, studio’s keeping the logline under wraps.
Levy’s been responsible for a trio of successful Fox comedies, directing and producing “Date Night” and both “Night at the Museum” films. He also produced “What Happens in Vegas” for the studio.
Levy’s set to direct “Real Steel” for DreamWorks about a father and son who take a robot to the Bot Boxing Championship.
Sztykiel is also re-writing dating comedy “The Game,” set up at Lionsgate with Spyglass and Depth of Field producing.
For Kaplan/Perrone, it’s the 15th original idea that the banner’s brought to a writer and set up, including “Made of Honor,” which Stzykiel wrote.
