Colombian-Spanish thriller stars Quim Gutierrez

Fox Intl. Prods has boarded Colombian-Spanish psychological thriller “Bunker,” which Colombian director Andi Baiz has begun lensing in Bogota.

Pic is a co-production of Sanford Panitch’s Fox Intl. Prods. and Colombia’s Dynamo, along with Spain’s Cactus Flower and Avalon.

The tentatively titled “Bunker” toplines Spanish box office star Quim Gutierrez, Spanish newcomer Clara Lago and Colombian thesp Martina Garcia.

Baiz co-wrote the script with Hatem Khraiche Ruiz-Zorrilla.

Exploring the limits of jealousy and betrayal, “Bunker” tells the story of a maestro with the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra who begins to doubt his girlfriend’s fidelity, only to discover that she’s disappeared. He finds solace in his music and a beautiful waitress as questions begin to surface about the disappearance of his other love.

Dynamo will release the film in Colombia; Fox will distribute in Spain. Elle Driver and Fox Intl. Prods. senior VP of sales Shebnem Askin-Schreger will handle foreign sales.
