Natalie Portman and Colin Firth will each receive Desert Palm Achievement kudos for acting on Jan. 8 at the 22nd Palm Springs Film Festival.
Portman and Firth join the ranks of past honorees including Daniel Day-Lewis, Sean Penn, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, Halle Berry, Naomi Watts and Kate Winslet.
Portman plays an obsessed ballerina in her latest film, Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan,” and Colin Firth can be seen portraying King George VI in “The King’s Speech.”
“Entertainment Tonight’s” Mary Hart will emcee the event at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The fest runs Jan 6. through Jan. 17.
