Finalists picked for Producer’s Challenge

Finalists have been chosen for the second annual Producer’s Challenge contest. Created by the Producers Guild of America, the contest will run in conjunction with the Produced By Conference June 4-6 at 20th Century Fox studios.

Each of the finalists is invited to screen their work at a June 3 showcase. One winner will be selected for each category, with prizes including a professional camera and post-production equipment, lunch with a top producer and an all-session badge to the 2011 Produced By Conference.

Studio finalists are HBO’s “A Drop of True Blood,” Fearnet’s “Fear Clinic” and NBC’s “Heroes: Nowhere Man.” Independent webisodes are “The Consultants,” “Horrible People” and “Road to the Altar,” while shorts selected are “The New Tenants,” “Off Season,” “Runners” and “Think Tank.”
