Emily Blunt has been cast in the time-travel thriller “Looper,” opposite Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Rian Johnson (“The Brothers Bloom,” “Brick”) is directing from his own script. Project reunites Johnson with producer Ram Bergman, who produced Johnson’s previous two films and Endgame Entertainment’s James D. Stern and Doug Hansen, who financed and produced “The Brothers Bloom.”
Endgame is fully financing “Looper,” scheduled to begin production in Louisiana in January. FilmNation is handling foreign sales.
“Loopers” is centered on a group of killers who send bodies of their victims back in time. Blunt will play a single mother forced to go to great lengths to protect her son.
Blunt stars opposite Matt Damon in “The Adjustment Bureau.” She was last seen in “The Wolfman.”
