EIF grants $250K to UCLA

Volunteer Day program assists 22 LA sites

The Entertainment Industry Foundation, the charity behind such programs as Stand Up To Cancer, has awarded a $250,000 grant to UCLA’s second annual Volunteer Day.

The program will send approximately 6,000 volunteers into the city Tuesday to assist projects all across Los Angeles. EIF has supported Volunteer Day since last year, and is its largest single donor.

The grant comes from EIF’s “iParticipate” campaign to promote service programs. Among the 22 sites benefiting from UCLA’s volunteers are Union Rescue Mission shelter, the Santa Monica pier and Veterans Affairs Hospital.
