Dumb Dumb unveils first (funny) short

Arnett_boffo Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Ben Silverman have released their first short film under new digital banner, Dumb Dumb.

Dumbdumb_boffo Dumb Dumb, which was formed back in January, is packaged at Silverman’s Electus and helps partner Bateman and Arnett with marketers and advertisers.  The company’s first short, “The Prom Date,” was made for Orbit gum, and stars Bateman, Arnett, and “Parks and Recreation” thesp Aubrey Plaza.

While viewers may question the short-for-advertisers methodology, the initiative is part of a booming online video campaign that partners creatives with advertisers in order to spring profit and exposure. One of the most successful being Illeana Douglas’ Ikea-sponsored comedy “Easy to Assemble.”

Check out Dumb Dumb’s first clip, “The Prom Date,” below. It’s actually quite hilarious.
