The Directors Guild of America has tapped second VP William M. Brady to chair its network staff negotiating committee.
It’s the fourth time he’s held the post in his long tenure in the DGA.
The existing pact covers about 1,000 DGA members and expires June 30.
The date for starting negotiations has not been set.
“Bill’s 30-plus years working in television news along with his extensive negotiating experience will be enormous assets to the Guild when it comes time to negotiate our network contract in New York,” said DGA prexy Taylor Hackford.
Brady has been a member of the national board since 1999 and led the negotiating committee in 2001, 2004 and 2007.
He’s been a director with CBS News in New York since 1982.
