After acquiring film rights to Ferdinand von Schirach’s bestselling “Verbrechen” (Crimes) earlier this year, Constantin Film has nabbed the criminal defense attorney’s latest book, “Schuld” (Guilt).
Like “Crimes,” “Guilt” is a collection of short stories based on von Schirach’s real-life cases. And like his previous work, it received stellar reviews from local book critics.
“Crimes,” the author’s debut, has so far sold in 30 countries. Constantin’s first feature adapted from the book will be “Gluck,” with Doris Doerrie (“Cherry Blossoms”) set to direct.
