The Museum of Tolerance will honor Clint Eastwood at its inaugural Museum of Tolerance Intl. Film Festival.
The fest runs Nov. 13-18, and is accepting entries until Sept. 20. Fest’s pics will deal with human rights issues.
Pics will be screened at the museum’s three Los Angeles theaters. The Tolerance Award will be bestowed on Eastwood at a gala Nov. 14.
“We believe Mr. Eastwood is a superb choice for this award, which celebrates those whose work shines a light on themes of acceptance, inclusion, tolerance and forgiveness,” said fest founder Rabbi Marvin Hier
The Simon Wiesenthal Center
, which operates the museum, has its own film branch called Moriah Films. The banner produces docs including “Genocide” and “The Long Way Home.”
Museum has tapped Randi Emerman, exec director of the Palm Beach fest since 2001, as fest’s exec director.
A full sked of films will be announced next month.
