Calvo, Slater set slate of projects

Thriller, horror pic set for Goodnight Film shingle

Director A.D. Calvo and producer Todd Slater have locked up financing for a slate of psychological thrillers and sci-fi projects in the $3 million to $5 million range.

Projects include campus thriller “House of Dust,” Gothic horror vehicle “Snow White” and two other unnamed projects. “House of Dust” will be co-produced under Calvo’s Goodnight Film shingle, based in Connecticut and produced by Slater via his Slater Brothers Entertainment banner.

Slater has held exec posts at Anschutz Film Co., where he worked on “Ray” and “Sahara,” along with Huntsman Entertainment and Paramount. Calvo’s first feature, “The Other Side of the Tracks,” was exec produced by Slater. The film is set to premiere this year on Showtime.

Slater Brothers Entertainment was launched as a follow-up to several sports and entertainment events it co-produced in the U.S. and Europe.
