'Club' stars gather for Paris screening
Four of “The Breakfast Club” stars gathered for a 25th anniversary screening at the Paris Theater, followed by a Q&A with Kevin Smith. At the Monday gathering, sponsored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Molly Ringwald called helmer John Hughes “the Holden Caulfield of the film generation.”
Ally Sheedy agreed, labeling Hughes as “a recluse, a J.D. Salinger,” adding, “There’s a lot of improv stuff in this movie and there was nothing you could come up with that he wouldn’t shoot.”
Anthony Michael Hall and Judd Nelson also attended.
