Joseph Lovett docu “Going Blind” will get a theatrical run in New York in October, timed to mark World Sight Day.
Lovett (“Gay Sex in the 70s,” “Cancer: Evolution to Revolution”) follows a group of people grappling with the loss of sight, including himself.
Lovett wrote and directed “Blind” and coproduced with Hilary Klotz Steinman. Pic has garnered the support of health care orgs including the National Eye Institute, the Reader’s Digest Partners for Sight Foundation and Pfizer Ophthalmics.
Movie begins its Gotham run at the Quad Cinema Oct. 8 ahead of World Sight Day Oct. 14.
