Bailey nabs UCLA residency

Named 2010 Kodak cinematographer-in-residence

John Bailey has been appointed the 2010 Kodak cinematographer-in-residence for the spring quarter at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television.

In its 11th year, the residency allows film students to benefit from direct guidance from award-wining cinematographers over the course of 10 weeks.

Bailey recently completed his 70th feature film, “Love Don’t Let Me Down.” His other film credits include “American Gigolo,” “Ordinary People,” “As Good As It Gets,” and “Groundhog Day.”

The program will kick-off with a free screening of Bailey’s “Misima: A Life in Four Chapters,” at UCLA on April 19 at 8pm.
