Distrib takes Spanish theatrical rights to drama
Spain’s top arthouse distrib Alta Films has inked cinema distribution rights to Spanish popular auteur Fernando Leon’s drama “Amador.”Pic toplines Magaly Solier, the Peruvian actress who starred in “The Milk of Sorrow,” the Berlin 2009 Golden Bear winner and now a foreign-language Academy Award nominee. Madrid-based sales agent Imagina Intl. Sales is handling “Amador” international rights at EFM. Solier plays a young woman who agrees to tend an aged, bedbound man left alone for the summer by his family. Produced by Leon’s shingle Reposado and Barcelona film giant Mediapro, pic is now in post.
