’31 Days’ may be on helmer’s calendar

Vaughan in talks for Lionsgate film

Lionsgate is in talks with Tom Vaughan (“What Happens in Vegas”) to direct dark romantic comedy “31 Days of Larry.”

Script, penned by Corinne Kingsbury, centers on a man who wants to die and a woman in financial crisis who agree to a 31-day marriage so that she can inherit the insurance money when he dies. As the couple begins to learn about each other, however, they discover the missing pieces that make them both worth loving.

No producer is attached to the project, set up two years ago at Lionsgate. Derick Martini, writer of “Lymelife,” had been on board previously to direct.

Vaughan’s other credits include “Extraordinary Measures” and “Starter for 10.”

He’s repped by CAA.
