Charlotte Gainsbourg stars in the English-language production along with Marton Csokas (“Alice in Wonderland”) and Aden Young.

“The Tree” is co-produced by Gallic shingle Les Films du Poisson and Aussie outfit Taylor Media, with Memento Films Intl.handling sales. Le Pacte is handling French distribution.

Based on an adaptation of the novel by Elizabeth J. Mars, pic reps French-born filmmaker Bertucelli’s second Cannes appearance following 2003’s “Since Otar Left,” which nabbed the Critics’ Week best film award.
