TOKYO — The Tokyo Film Festival has completed its 15-pic competition lineup with the addition of Chinese helmer’s Li Yu’s “Buddha Mountain,” fest organizers announced Thursday.
Taiwanese multihypenate Sylvia Chang stars in the drama about a retired chanteuse running a boarding house whose tenants include three young musicians.
Meanwhile, fest chairman Tom Yoda has signed on for another two years. Yoda took the job for a three-year term starting in 2008.
The Tokyo Film Festival unspools Oct. 23-31.
