Producers of indie teen comedy “Smash,” starring Lindsey Shaw (“Ten Things I Hate About You”), have announced plans to self-distribute the film domestically Feb. 4.
“Smash” is produced by Illyssa Goodman (“A Cinderella Story”) and Denver-based Uptown 6. Shooting’s begun in the San Diego area.

Film tells the story of a junior tennis champion with a life of countless hours training to go pro, until she unexpectedly suffers an injury that keeps her out of the game. While recovering, she discovers the teenage life she never got to have and a relationship she would have never seen coming with a teenage boy, played by Chandler Massey (“One Tree Hill”).
The film also stars Steven Christopher Parker, Susie Abromeit, Lindsey Black, Mark Elias, Keith Coulouris, Alexandra Paul and Josh Cooke.
