She's in talks for 2S Films' 'Something Borrowed'

Ginnifer Goodwin is falling for romancer “Something Borrowed” and is in talks to star for Alcon Entertainment-based 2S Films.

Goodwin will play a Manhattan attorney who becomes involved with her best friend’s fiance following her 30th birthday.

Alcon co-toppers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing with 2S principals Hilary Swank and Molly Smith. Aaron Lubin and Pamela Schein Murphy of Wild Ocean Films will also produce.

“Something Borrowed,” based on Emily Giffin’s debut novel of the same name, is being fast-tracked for a shoot in the spring and summer. Luke Greenfield (“The Girl Next Door”) is directing from a script by Jennie Snyder Urman (“Lipstick Jungle”),

Goodwin’s in her fourth season of HBO’s “Big Love” and just finished filming “Ramona and Beezus” alongside Selena Gomez and Josh Duhamel for Fox. She was last seen in “A Single Man” and “He’s Just Not That Into You.”

Swank and Smith collaborated with Alcon on romantic comedy “P.S. I Love You,” which grossed more than $150 million worldwide.
