Publicists Erik Bright and Alex Klenert are teaming to form Prodigy PR.
Former Insignia partner Bright and ThinkFilm VP Klenert will hang their shingle in Santa Monica with a roster of corporate clients that includes Hyde Park, Das Films, PCB Prods. with Keith Arem, Nuclear Mango, Scenechronize, Seventh Synchrony, Variance Films and XYZ Films.
Flacks Sheryl Tirol and Emilie Chan are also joining the agency, which will focus on publicity and event management for studios, indie filmmakers, actors and producers.
Bright and Klenert are positioning their firm as providing one-stop publicity shopping, including the planning of early trade coverage, unit publicity, festival strategy, advising on theatrical distribution, theatrical and DVD publicity campaigns and organizing premieres or industry events.
At Insignia, Bright worked on campaigns for films such as “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Crash” and “Sideways.” Klenert handled publicity duties on such projects as “Taxi to the Dark Side,” “Murderball” and “Half Nelson.”
